The Salvis factory around 1942
Since 1915 · Reussbühl

One hundred years Küche. One line.

Salvis builds appliances for kitchens where deliveries are made every day. From the first electric stove in 1920 to the Blackline — the same philosophy, a new design language.

pioneer spirit

Electric, back when that was still the case Courage was.

In 1920, Switzerland predominantly cooked with wood and gas. Salvis nevertheless installed an electric stove—not as a study, but as an appliance that would last. This decision shaped the next hundred years.

Development

Technology that is not fails.

Over the decades, the focus shifted: It wasn't about the newest model, but rather what still works after ten years of continuous operation. Robust construction, intuitive operation, and replaceable parts were key.

professionalization

For kitchens used every day deliver.

The toughest test came with catering and institutional food service: three hundred meals every lunchtime, no questions asked. Equipment that can withstand that kind of pressure isn't created on a drawing board alone.

Swiss Mindset

Quality arises where Foresight meets precision.

For us, an appliance isn't just a delivery, it's a promise for years to come. That's why we consider planning, installation, and service together — and build in such a way that a kitchen will still be working perfectly in ten years.

Timeless

A design language that won't look like it did in fifteen years, given the year it was introduced.

Future of the kitchen

Minimal. Precise. Blackline.

Dark surfaces, clean lines, no decoration: The Blackline reduces the appliance to what matters in the kitchen. A hundred years of experience, translated into a design language that doesn't impose itself.
